Turning 19 [22.12.09]

As usual, as the clock struck 12am, phone calls, texts, Facebook messages and wall posts came in. Don't you just love such moments where you feel so loved? haha

I was still up at that time as you would know from the previous post. Was chatting with Thomas all the way and finally dozed off. Was awakened at 6.45 IN THE MORNING by the dearest mother just to wish me happy birthday haha. I went straight back to sleep after that when more calls came in and then bursting into my room came the bucket of joy-Sarah :)

Less than an hour after I got up, which was 9am, I was already on the way to Sunway for an early breakfast. After an interesting time at my aunt's office we all went to Midvalley Megamall. Texted the rest of me mates asking if they wanna meet up but i knew it was most likely going to be the classic trio anyway haha. And damn right I was.

Shopped a little. Got myself a top and then we headed to Little Penang Cafe for some food again. Had a few good laughs with them as usual. Not long later, Vasanth arrived and behind him was Thomas. We didn't exactly have anything in mind and they were hungry so we decided to go to Madam Kwan's.

This is where the food fest begins. At Madam Kwan's, Thomas had some mushroom noodle thingy, Vasanth had Mushroom soup and I just had a cup of tea. We sat there forever, drinking and drinking the evening away.

Thomas was now craving for desserts, so next stop-Delicious. He got his all time favourite sticky something pudding while the other two of us just had drinks. We sat there laughing our asses away over the funniest of antics. The boys and their brain woes and resolutions. We even did some psychological test in the middle of all that haha. Don't ask me how that happened. Were cool that way :p This is also where all the salt started and stories came surfaced.

Vasanth, one of the closest guy friends i've ever had

him and his many faces haha

Hours and a few Tigers later, we decided it was then dinner time. Hahaha! Told you it was a food fest.

Next round we ended up Chilli's Bar and Grill. Ordered Chicken and beef nachos to share, Vasanth had his classic cheeseburger, Thomas had some rather strange fish thingy while I ate my standard chicken crispers. We were so stuffed, food felt like it was gonna come out of our orifices haha. On top of that we had more drinks and the Iced Lemon Tea incident, I have nothing to say.

Thomas, the other one i've grown fond of and the ever so infectious smile of his

trying to look all mean and angry

for once he managed to wipe that smile of a his face a bit

mr bubbles and our kinda gross iced lemon tea occurance. cannot share anything with this fella haha

At one point, we sorta imagined ourselves to be one small happy family. Me being the mum with two rascals for sons. Haha it really did seem that way actually. The antics they were up too. I really can't explain all that we were up to 'cause then readers would seriously question my sanity.

Left the place pretty late. We, no actually I was really 'sangap' to shisha at the point, for some reason, but it proved to be too much for us to handle at the end of the day.

It indeed, was a spontaneously random good chilling day spent with the people I care about most. Once again, thank you boys! You know I love you guys. And for everyone else that made my day in the simplest of ways by just texting, calling or facebooking; thanks alot too! :)

A day later, my parents and brother came up along with other members of our family and I got a cake hehehe.

some awesomely delicious cheese chocolate cream biscuit-based cake from secret recipe

my mummmmmyyy

julian, the brother and my jet setting dad in the background was also back

sarah, the ray of sunshine was also over again hahaha

Genting adventure [21.12.09]

The clique of ten from last year was to find time to catch up over a holiday. Little did we know it would end up being just Vasanth, Kah Shin, Thomas, Kai Xin and myself only. We initially bought 5 bus tickets to Genting departing from One Utama but later changed plans due certain circumstances. Vasanth and myself were gonna hop into Thomas' car and we'd drive up there leaving the other two to meet us up there.

At the very last minute, precisely 6.01am, Thomas rang me and said he contracted food poisoning. So we were instructed to go catch the bus as well. Thing is, I live in Subang and Vasanth lives in Cheras; both of which are really far away. Plus we had to be at the terminal latest by 7.50am! With no other choice I literally ran outta bed, notifying the then still sleeping Vasanth, into the shower and out the door.

Then came the cab fair. 23 freaking bucks worth of it! But then again there was no two way about it. Kah Shin arrived bout 15 minutes after I did and the darling brought breakfast. How nice :) Kai Xin was next up and that's when all the laughing started.

First things first. The dear boy couldn't make it on time. Which is partially my fault =/ And so..

WE MISSED THE BUS!

Actually no, we didn't miss it. We watched it leave in plain sight. Thank God we managed to make money out of it though. Sold the tickets to some random couple and even got extra money hehe. Anyway, the next ticket we got up was at 10.30am. A whole two and a half hours later. We ended having loads and loads of time to kill.

Sat at the terminal for ages after Vasanth finally arrived and then headed into the mall we stumbled upon to be open. Walked around aimlessly in the rather empty mall, got some drinks and then it was time for us to board the bus.

Pretty uneventful ride up. Kah Shin and Kai Xin were busy chatting away from the moment they got on the bus till they got off haha. Vasanth and I were trying to catch some sleep time, having stayed up really late the night before. However that plan was an epic failure as the winding road wasn't exactly conducive, since we'd bump into each other at every corner. Settled to music and some chilling.

The astonishing gust of air that greeted us up in there was surprising. Didn't expect it to be that cold. Mist was incredible. Temperature was way low to the point the smokey effect came out of our mouths every time we took a breath. But ultimately, the wind killed us all. Chilled down to the bones.

the tortured frozen little centipede and her mother haha

see how bad the mist was? this was when it started clearing up abit actually.

view from our dumbo the flying elephant ride haha

Somehow or rather, I lived up to my name of the 'Iceberg' and even managed to pull off a sweat haha. I ended up being everyone's heater. Something is so wrong with my thermo-receptors haha.

The outdoor theme park was were we spent the entire day. Went on all the rides. The err 'ball shrink' look on Vasanth's face was p r i c e l e s s. For his sake, we sat on family rides too hehe. The worse for me was the Pirate Ship. The stupid ticklish feeling I cant explain was just too weird. Kah Shin and I couldn't stop laughing haha. Oh yea, the Spinning Teacups was also very trippy.

one of the not too scary family rides to please that certain someone hahahah

headache and trip inducing ride

Best ride of the day had gotta be the Flying Coaster. Two thumbs up! Vasanth's alerts and Kah Shin's shrieks and yells of fear made it even better haha.

We had lunch at the First World area midway through. Vasanth and I went on another one of our 'scenery' moments only to come back to the girls who surprised me with ice cream and candles.
Thanks again! :)

one of our scenery moments. don't think he knew I took this ;)

the surprise :)

At about six in the evening. We just had to retire to Starbucks for a drink and somewhere to rest.

nice hot cafe latte, cafe mocha and hot chocolates

Our return ticket back to One Utama was at 7.30pm from the stated platform 6. At about 7, the girls went to check the terminal out when..

WE GOT INTO DEEP SHIT!

There wern't any buses there that were meant to return. And so..the adventure starts here. We ran uphill from First World to the Highland Hotels only to learn that all buses back to KL/Penang/Singapore where in fact not there. Had to walk around aimlessly amidst the insane mist that prevented us from seeing past 10 feet past us. We were also afraid of being run over by cars, cause obviously they wouldn't be able to see us 'till its too late.

By the time we got back to First World, it was already 7.25pm and we had to apparently be at the Skyway station which was halfway down the hill. And so..

WE MISSED THE BUS, AGAIN!

There were absolutely no more buses back down except one to Titiwangsa, where ever that is, at 8.50pm. Ran off back into First world for dinner of which I had none cause I was already non feeling well. Damned lactose intolerance!

dinner at KFC when we noticed..

LIFE! Our new catchphrase. no i mean, catchword.

Then it hit us. How on earth were we to get back to our respective homes from Titiwangsa?! Before departure, we waited at the platform only to find nothing there again. We got really really really paranoid and pissed off in fact that it left us again. But it was just late, thankfully so. We were also afraid of plunging to our deaths in an accident or something since we rode a bus that was kinda dodgy and since we could barely see the road.

The ride back was eventful. Enough said hehehe :P Vasanth and I laughed so much, got into a little confusion and became as random as ever. Kai Xin and Kah Shin, who were seated behind us took our roles earlier in the morning, and settled for a some quiet time.

fail. i completely cut myself out haha

fail. looks weird.

cbf anymore. didn't even notice this one being taken. yes, thats how tired I was.

Finally got back at about 11pm I think? Kai Xin's dad dropped us all at my house. Again, thanks alot! By the time I got home, I could barely move. It was that fucked up feeling where your body has literally given up but your mind is still racing.

LIFE

How now?

Why is this still lost behind words we can never find?
Why are we so silent, when its more than obvious already?

Sassau

Mind dimension mind dimension mind dimension mind dimension. Every time I look into your eyes I see the future. Boooang boooang boooang boooang.

Haha ignore that.

So anyway, how has December been? Does it sound something like sleep eat shop watch movies Facebook hang out club get drunk adventure holidays? Well if so, welcome to the club ;)

Been out so much Ive completely lost track of days and dates. Heck I think I don't even remember how to write anymore haha.

News flash, Li Wei is back from Perth. Yay much?! I arrived the same day she did and we were out pretty much everyday doing the most random of things. First day out went something like A&W, Shibaraku, Couples Retreat, Li Wei's house, Pasar Malam, Geographers, MacDonald's. From 11am till past 1 the very next day. Exhausting. It was good catching up with them. By them I mean Li Wei, Vivian, Rachel, Keng, Joanne.
.
.
Lw this is payback for the absolutely embarrassing picture you took of me at my birthday party last year. revenge is good hehe

Keng, the shy haha

Rachel, again

Joanne Goh

Another day ended up with Vivian and I catching Love Happens and then we were met by Li Wei. Omg I cant even form proper sentences anymore. OK no maybe, there's just too many things to talk about, and I'm too lazy to make the effort.
.

Christina, Li Wei, Joanne, Keng and I went out one random night for dinner and drinks. We laughed and talked the entire night away. Li Wei the alcoholic, provided more laughs with her weird drinking habits and the wackiest of all antics. Bamboo Hut and the Jetty being the locations we finally thought of. Mind you, Malacca is boooooooooooring with its non existent night life. No scratch that, non existent life sounds much more precise haha. No, don't get me wrong, its still one of the most serene places you could visit in Malaysia. Good food being an added bonus.

In addition to that, I finally got my satay celup after months of patient waiting.

On another random day, Aalex Seo came round to my place at 9 in the morning only to be welcomed by a fast asleep me. Hahaha sorry! Well he and my mum are kinda tight so yea they got along with the chats as I got ready. He drove us all the way up to the Klebang beaches for breakfast. Very good food indeed. After that came a series of fairly spontaneous plans. Dropped by the mall to have a walk around, left the mall bout an hour and a half later only to drive around aimlessly. In the end, we couldn't think of anywhere else but home, my home that is. Talked, chilled, listen to songs; and so on and so forth.
.
The very same day, at night, we met up again along with Vivian, Bee Ting, Karen and Joeal. MacDonald's again ended up being the designated spot since it was raining out and mamak stalls were all kinda dull.
.
Subang time again! As soon as I arrived, the mother dropped me off at Thomas' house. The two of us just hung around the house; sassauing, catching up with the latest gossip, stalked people on Facebook and carried out weird conversations on MSN. Vasanth arrived later on in the day, completing the classic trio. The random things we did pretty much summed up how we have always been.
.
The amount of trash and intensely salty things that surfaced was incredible. Not to mention completely hilarious. Somehow of rather, we ended up at Sunway Pyramid for dinner at Carl's Junior. Walked around aimlessly after that and then decided to sit for the umpteenth time at Starbucks.
.
Vasanth ;)
.
.
Thomas :D

Got back home at about 9.45 only to leave less that 15 minutes later. From here on, we'll leave it untold. What a night. Lets just say if I do this on a regular basis, I'd drop dead.
.
got a clue yet?

Maybe its true, I do need anger management.

If I could, I would definitely stab you to death with the bluntest of knives. Dumb mader farking alcoholic, cigarette addict, mentally unstable, dirty as the foot of pig, greedy, absolutely worthless, stammering bloody jerk of the century.

Don't tempt me.

It never changes, my friends

Woke up at seven just to go to Ikea with my aunt. Very, very lame, I know. Time flew by like nobodies business and soon I was already rushing to go back to Subang for err better plans.
.
Met up with Kah Shin on time at Mac Centre then off to Asia Cafe we went. We literally sat on the deck for an hour and 15 minutes just catching u with each other, while waiting for the ever so on time boys of the century. Vasanth was excused as he had proper reasons, Thomas however, hmm liar liar pants on fire HAHA. Nevertheless he showed up. Happy as he has always been. The three of us sat there for another good old hour before deciding to leave for lunch.
.
Face to Face was the designated spot for lunch. To satisfy our cravings that is..haha. Again the ritual of eating, talking and laughing continued till Vasanth finally arrived. :) We got kinda restless after that from sitting and talking too long, so yea, we wanted to make a move but was rudely stopped by a thunderstorm that came out of no where. We ended up being there till about 6.15 in the evening.
.
caught off guard. he'd kill me
.
buff boy haha. no kidding.
.
happy fella :)
.
Battled the rain into the car and off we went to Kelana Jaya, reason being the need to drop Kah Shin off home. Traffic was insane so we decided to hang out around that area.
.
AND then we realised, here we go again, the classic trio. Hence, the title of this post. Somehow or rather, at any circumstances, at the end of the day its just gonna be Vasanth, Thomas and myself. Random adventures here and there making the best days as yet.
.
chilling to pink floyd
.
Anyway, back to the point. Before long, we realised we were already heading for Curve, as spontaneous as it was. The most unexpected thing we did after that was shop. I mean imagine the three of us shopping hahaha. Padini was on sale so that's where we headed. This is where things became unfair. The boys got t-shirts for 50% off from a starting price of at the most 40 bucks. Stuff for girls however, was at least 90 bucks and the discounts weren't to be matched either. pfft sexist. So I ended up being the critique for them. Hot, fugly, gay, makes you look buff, I like; were some of the comments. Had a good laugh between ourselves haha. They ended up buying 10 among themselves.
.
at Calvin Klien. Vasanth, you shudhv gotten the jacket :/
.
Feeling Big Spender-ish that night, we decided for a good old meal at TGIF. Again, we talked and laughed till our stomachs literally hurt. The most random upfront things popped up and I shall do you guys well by not mentioning it. Melvin came to join us for awhile and slipped right into conversation.
.
It was kinda late when we decided to head back home. Muse being the company back home breaking our classic "moment of silence" hehe. Tiring day indeed that lead to me instantaneously falling asleep in a sitting position hahaha.
.
note to self: take more proper pictures.
