Man in the mirror

First and foremost, Michael Jackson. A tribute to the legend, may he rest in peace.

classic
......................................

On a totally unrelated note, a few curious readers have asked how physiotherapy was like so here it goes.

After checking in, what I usually do is sterilise my hands. Next up would be the wax treatment which does hurt to a certain extent. Imagine putting your hand in hot boiling wax..7 times! As a matter of fact, that doesn't hurt as much as restricting movement to my extremity.

Anyway, I wait for it to return to normal temperature, leaving a slightly solid wax formation. All this while being enclosed in a..err bag if you'd like to call it that. Every time without fail, my ever so sensitive skin reacts to the situation by forming red splotches/patches all over. They usually last only a few hours so no harm done.

the weird bag thing. notice the book? haha essentials at the hospital

the beginning of my red patch

Ultrasound therapy would be next. Don't give me the wth look and no I do not have a baby or anything along that line haha. The ultrasound machine produces high frequency sound waves that are directed to the sore area. Passing through the tissues, these waves vibrate molecules, that causes both friction and warmth. This is thought to promote healing.

ultrasound machine to the left, wax boiler to the extreme right

Following all that huha would be strength measurements and game time. Game time as in exercises and several techniques used to regain motion and strength.

plasticine, dumbbells and so on

The nice thing about physiotherapy is that you get to meet a lot people and form some sort of a club with the usuals. I must add though, that I am usually one of the youngest ones there haha.

the hallway..

looks like a gym, no?

Mother's syndrome

Making the transition from a perfect-fit manual Kancil to an over sized automatic Mercedes, is a challenge indeed. And things aren't made easier when you have a paranoid mother sitting in the passenger's seat. haha

"Watch the car!"

"Go slow!"

"BRAKE!"

"Careful!"
"Stop!"

All things aside, it was still kinda sorta err fun except the bit where I instinctively yelped "shut up". Whoops?

No voice left.

I can't bring myself to type lengthy posts right now, so pictures are gonna do most of the talking. The way it should be.

Pizza Hut MP

my favourite picture of the day. damn those eye bags, or rather-eye luggages, of mine though

the girl bestie, Amanda Fam

birthday girl..koa

manda, myself and rachel

rach likes takin pictures. haha

rach, eileen, boon ee, manda

the birthday cake

manda was trying to pose, but failed as you can see.

all of us..

this defines camwhore. haha

in my defense, manda's idea!

All in all, it was very loud. Very, very loud. Nevertheless, I had fun just hanging out with old mates from school. Besides, I don't see them often.

The Jetty, karaoke

as you can see, we were very much at home. =)

my frown is visible even when singing. wth.

more chillin'

no comments.

whats a picture taking session without one in the toilet?

outside on the deck

yet again..

We booked a room from 8.30pm right up to 2am! However, it was humanly impossible to sing that long. No losses though, since the last 3 hours were free. =) We sang our hearts contents, without ever once stopping too long. Called it quits at about 12.30 and retired to a mamak nearby.

p.s. Manda desperately needs a new phone. the current one is in a horrid condition. donations are most welcomed. HAHA

p.s.s 'Welcome to the jungle' is an awesome song to let it all out. That probably explains my title.

Surprise!

First and foremost, I must say that she is the easiest target to trick by far. Karen and Rach picked me up at around 7pm and we headed off to The Jetty. The plan was for everyone else to cancel on her giving all sorts of reasons as to why they wouldn't be able to make it.

So the 3 of us, rather awkwardly, went to karaoke. We took pictures, acted as normal as ever and even convinced her to ring the others again just to rub it in a little that no one really cares that its her birthday. Mean, I know haha.

About half an hour or so later, the rest arrived, cake in hand, to give her the shock of her life. The expression on her face was priceless! She was utterly lost for words. Tears of joy flowed like the the overflowing Nile river haha. I found that hilarious.

birthday gal..rach a.k.a maria

us..excuse me as I look like i'm about to die

We faked a couple of presents too. An ang pow (inside joke) and shokobutsu something something. Yet again, her expressions haha. In the end we finally handed her the cute Disney mp3 and the ever so heartfelt card.

mariaaaaa tolong buang sampah =)
thats the aftermath of unwrapping presents haha

Following that session, we decided to go to Jonkers. =) Finally had dinner there an a lil' walk about. It was really really hot, leaving us all icky and absolutely drained. Bedtime couldn't have come any sooner haha. It was an awesome night out nevertheless.

koakarenbeetingvivianrachelmeamandakaeah

walking back to the car..

tired faces all around..

we had to send 3 of them to another car parked further away..so this was how all 7 of us cramped up haha.

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY, once again, Rachel!! Love you.

Malaysia just gained..

..a brand new DRIVER!

=D

I'm just really glad one attempt is all it took. Thank God.

Two thumbs up..

..for this

Bully. Laugh. Torment. Laugh. Laugh. Laugh.

My mum dropped me off at Vivian's at exactly 10.59 am. Just pointing out the fact that my timing is spot on..haha.

Anyway, she drove! We arrived safely! She's a better driver than she gives herself credit for! She drives slow! Were alive! So yea..haha we made it to the mall and wandered around forever waiting for Rachel, victim of the day, to arrive.

As soon as the three of us met up we headed to Sibaraku for Japanese! Weeee..exam craving satisfied. I really like that place actually and the fact that we get to sit on the ground. Weird, I know. As per norm, we filled each other with everything that's currently going on in our life. Gossiped, laughed, ate, bullied; you name it we've done it.

After lunch, we went over to the cinema to buy tickets for Drag Me To Hell. HAHAHAHA we succeeded literally dragging Rach to the movie. She was completely horrified at the idea of watching a thriller, not that I know why.

Oh before I go there, on the way up, we encountered an innocent lil butterfly. Vivi being a mottephobic avoided it by a mile or so, but Rach..omg she screamed. I mean SCREAMED at the top of her lungs! The most ear-shattering thing i've heard in years. Haha she even managed to freak an elderly couple, also waiting for the elevator, out. Thus, a friendship blossomed between us and the couple, who turned out ever so friendly. They coincidently, were watching the exact same movie as us too. =)

maria my maid says: drink maam drink.

oh if you were wondering, Rach is Maria, my ever so helpful maid. haha

Back to the point. Waiting for the movie to begin was utterly hilarious by itself. She was already jittery and refused to let us swap seats cause she was afraid of not being next to anyone on either side. Vivi and I gave in due to pity. Haha

So as expected, Rach reacted rather violently to the shocking scenes. Scared the crap outta me more than the old lady did. At one point she turned so quickly on me, hitting my head, which could have really cause a concussion! I'm not kidding.

The movie was entertaining. Not that scary..but definitely shocking. Very shocking indeed at certain parts.

After the movie, Rach insisted that we 'shopped' with her. It was actually a scheme to get us to walk her to her car in the dark basement. Haha sneaky. That wasn't it, all the way till we parted, Vivi and I kept on tormenting her with scenes from the movie. I even came up with some weird eye thingy-ma-jig which creeped her out for some reason in particular.

the cutest little thing with the cutest dinosaur ever made.

Never had I laughed so much in a day. I was wheezing my way home, in fact. We just couldn't stop. Everything was excruciatingly hilarious!

I had a blast! Havn't had as much fun in forever with these girls. =D

Recuperation

The title says it all. I've been on sleep mode much of last night and today. Let me just backtrack and explain as to why this is all happening.

Wednesday, June 10 2009

Made my exhausting trip to Subang by bus; lugging a suitcase absolutely full of books. Damn heavy can die, seriously. The reason I had to go up was to provide my usual
entertainment/daycare buddy services to Sarah, my cousin and for an entrance exam.

Friday, June 12 2009

Following constant harassment, I finally caved and took Sarah to the movies at Sunway Pyramid. She insisted on a movie marathon so yea..we watched 17 Again and Hannah Montana the Movie. Thank God the latter wasn't as corny as I had expected it to be. 17 Again was excruciatingly hilarious. Actually, I think I felt that way cause of where we were seated. You see, all we could get were couple seats. We were, of course, flanked by couples on both sides and it was funny. OK maybe not funny, but cute. *jealous

this is their idea of couple seats. couch-like. spacious. but too close together.

he WORKS the leather jacket like nobody's business

rather entertaining. though I must say, the easily amused-giggling kids scattered around in the cinema was a little err..not amusing

Saturday-Sunday, June 13-14 2009

Nothin much really happened. Went to church, studied, Delicious-Dua Residency, studied, KLCC, studied, Klang bak kut teh, studied and studied more. By then I was already not feeling very well. Running nose, sore throat, chapped lips, puffy eyes, fever sleep deprivation and stuff. This is what stress is all about.

Monday, June 15 2009

THE DAY. Woke up extremely early and got ready for the pending exam. My agent, Mr Richard, picked me up along with 3 other boys enrolled in the same university. The exam was held at University Malaya. Never been there before but I must admit, I was kinda impressed. One things for sure. It was ginormous!

impressive. i was actually expecting something 'capalang'

Bank Negara examination hall

the lockers outside the hall. eww

The exam was tiring. 657 questions in total. 4 and a half hours. The questions were not at all easy, if fact, if I had relied completely on SAM to get me through, I'd have died. But ultimately, it was just oh-so-tiring. Met a few Taylor's mates there which was a pleasant surprise.

Only managed to leave the place at around 4 something. Had no transport back, so adventure again. Walked approximately forever to get out of university ground. Luckily the path was well shaded by those large oak trees. Anyway, after getting out, walked another God knows how far to get the the LRT station to make my way to Kl Sentral. From there I took the KTM back to Subang and then a cab home.

nice shady path. good view too. they had their own lake too (typically Malaysian though)

view from the overhead station

I'm home now, as in Malacca. I'm coming to save you, Vivian. =) Rachel, Japanese! I don't care! Hahaha =)

ps. sorry we couldn't meet up

Laugh till we cry

Bee Ting, Rachel, Vivian and myself met up again for the umpteenth time. This time we went to this place called Uncle John which is basically Malacca's version of Old Town.

As per norm, we hogged the couch and talked the night away. Topics of conversation seem ever so random. Things from holidays, to university, to marriage to..well you get the point.

We decided to head elsewhere for more chill out time and ended up at Ong Kim Wee for satay celup. Unfortunately the place wasn't exactly ideal to sit and talk. For one, it was rather noisy but ultimately there were just too many people waiting in line for an empty table.
Guilt much.

Oh-so clever Vivi did this..credits to her

Bee Ting and Rachel..

Having exhausted all our options, we ended up at my house haha. The ride home was filled with laughter. Everything seemed so so so funny for some reason. Hence, the title of this post. We just flipped through tv channels, watched stuff on YouTube and yes, you guessed right-talk; when we got to my place.

They've just left. Back to being bored for me. Actually, I really should be studying, but lets just say I'm the epitome of laziness at the moment.
